Support is something we all crave, yet for many, it feels just out of reach. As the first daughter of a conservative Nigerian family, I’ve carried the weight of expectations that often left me feeling unseen and unsupported—especially when I chose to follow my path as an artist. This journey has forced me to confront deep-seated beliefs about worth, independence, and the fear of receiving support. In this blog, I explore the lessons I’ve learned about breaking free from old narratives, reclaiming my voice, and finally allowing myself to be supported—by family, by the Universe, and most importantly, by myself.
